15MM Jumob Size Clear Tempered Glass

Jumbo size 15mm clear tempered glass or called oversize15mm clear toughened glass, width＞2.44m, length can be10m, even longer. It is a typical bespoke building glass, mostly used for storefront doors, glass fins, glass ribs,glass spandrel, etc., that can withstand larger wind pressure and heavy load.

15mm clear tempered glass is processed by controlled thermal treatments to increase its strength. The tempering process puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension, such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to shatter into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as ordinary annealed glass does.

Compressive surface stresses give tempered glass increased strength, it is about four times stronger than15mm clear float glass.

Thermal stability: It can withstand the temperature difference of 200°C

During the cooling procedure, both the pressure of the cooling air and cooling speed are lower and slower than the Tempered Glass

● Heat strengthened glass is significantly better than ordinary glass in mechanical strength, wind pressure resistance, impact resistance and thermal shock resistance

● The strength is double normal float glass

● It can effectively resists the effect of thermal stress and avoid thermal cracking of glass
