Laminated Curved Glass
All of our curved glass units are made in kiln baths where the radius of the curve required is cut on water jets into metal templates, forming the shape of the glass curvature. The flat glass is placed over the metal mould and the kiln is heated very quickly, kiln goes from 1-1000 degrees in 7 minutes. Glass then forms to the space of the curve.
Bent and curved glass can contribute at the design, specification, tender and construction stages to ensure the successful integration of curved glass into any sized project. We manufacture all different curved glass for your needs, such as windows, doors, balustrades, facade systems, shopfronts, partitions, shower screens, jewellery display cases, food display units, splashbacks, wall paneling, and pool fences.
Curved glass can be made in one of three distinct ways, creating three main types of curved glass, each suited for different applications:
1. Annealed Glass Bends (non-impact resistant)
2. Laminated Curved Glass (impact resistant)
3. Toughened Curved Glass (impact resistant)
Bent & Curved Glass uses this toughening technique though two different horizontal tempering furnaces. Producing tight radius and tangent radius curved glass panels, up to larger size architectural panels in a full range of glass types. Having both furnaces allows us to provide curved glass solutions for a wide range of applications in architectural, commercial and residential installations.
